Zubné lekárstvo

Dentistry is an independent medical branch, which includes diagnostics, prevention and treatment
of the diseased states of oral cavity and teeth. It includes mainly the two most commonly occurred chronic
infectious diseases of the population – dental caries and periodontal diseases and their complications,
as well as other states that affect oral cavity and maxillo-facial part. The extent of general medical
knowledge is in the content required for health prevention with special orientation for health and diseases
of oral cavity in connection with the whole organism

Prospects of graduates

Graduates can apply in all facilities of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, in state and non-state health facilities, in other functions, e.g. as an expert advisor within insurance companies, a medical examiner, in management and organizational functions in the field of dental facilities, as well as in the field of pedagogy.

Graduates of the general medicine study program meet the conditions of the European Directive 2005/36/EC, which allows citizens of the European Union to practice the profession of doctor within all EU member states.

Conditions of admission

Obtaining an overall point evaluation from the entrance exam consisting of a test in biology and chemistry, on the basis of which the applicant will be included among the maximum planned number of accepted applicants.

The test has 200 questions (100 Biology, 100 Chemistry). Each question has 4 answers. Points are awarded for each correct answer

Test duration: 3 hours (180 minutes),

Maximum number of points: 800
