MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES

Graduates of the PhD programme Manufacturing Technologies are being prepared for work in research and development departments of manufacturing enterprises, top management positions, in the field of production department management using sophisticated progressive technology, institutes of the Academy of Sciences as well as faculties at Technical universities.



Prospects of graduates

They can work for consulting firms and technology-oriented organizations where higher level of technical education is required. PhD graduates represent a basic driving force for manufacturing companies. They are able to bring into practice the latest achievements in the field of science and research as well as elements of innovation, rationalization, novelty and progressivity. Graduates possess deepened and expanded theoretical and practical knowledge of technological disciplines in the field of metallurgy, new materials, chipless as well as chip formation machining, automation of technological processes and their application in production enterprises taking into account qualitative, technical, economic and environmental aspects of different types of production processes.

Additional information

Students have the opportunity to use accommodation capacities in student dormitories in Prešov according to Technical university of Košice criteria. Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies has a sufficient number of beds to cover student accommodation in full. Students' meals are provided in the student canteens. Internet access is possible via wifi in all areas of the faculty as well as in student dormitories. In free time, a gym as well as external sports grounds are available to students.

Selected students of the faculty are allowed to complete part of their studies abroad (eg Germany, Poland, Italy, etc.) through international projects (ERASMUS, NŠP, CEEPUS), in which the faculty is actively involved and also through bilateral agreements between the faculty and universities abroad.
