Absolvent is applied as:
- pedagogical employee - teacher in kindergarten for children with special educational needs, pedagogical assistant, educator and master of vocational training for special educational work in special primary schools, practical schools, vocational schools, special and specialized classes of primary schools for individuals with health and social disadvantages and talents.

- completion of secondary school studies culminating in the matriculation examination,
- delivery of a printed and signed application form submitted electronically,
- certification of medical fitness for university studies (the form is on the faculty's website in the section Applicants - study options).
Additional information
If an applicant wishes to apply for more than one study programme at the faculty, he/she must submit a separate application for each study programme separately and pay the application fee for each application. An applicant cannot apply for both full-time and part-time study for the same study programme at the same time.
Conditions for international students
The condition of admission is the presentation of proof of secondary education with a high school diploma. The documents must be officially certified and submitted to the Education Department of the Faculty of Education of the PU within the set deadline. For foreign applicants, the above admission condition also applies. Applicants are recommended to take a preparatory course in Slovak language. Self-payers are admitted on the basis of a contract. The Tuition Fees and Fees Directive for the relevant academic year is published at http://www.unipo.sk/pedagogicka-fakulta .

- The admission fee can be paid exclusively electronically - bank transfer. In the message to the recipient please indicate: name and surname of the applicant, name of the faculty. The document must be signed and attached to the application form,
- Applicant who will take the matriculation examination in the year 2024, fill in the application form with the end-of-year grades for the 1st - 3rd year (four-year secondary school studies), for the 1st - 4th year (five-year secondary school studies) of the secondary school - the grades will be confirmed by the secondary school. A certified copy of the matriculation certificate will be sent to the faculty address immediately after it is issued, no later than the date of enrolment, which will take place in June 2024.
- an applicant who has passed the matriculation examination in the previous period shall deliver, together with the application for studies, certified copies of the report cards for the 1st-3rd year (four-year secondary school studies), for the 1st-4th year (five-year secondary school studies) of secondary school and a certified copy of the matriculation certificate,
- hand-signed curriculum vitae,
- candidate with specific needs pursuant to Section 100 of Act No 131/2002 Coll. on higher education and on amendment and supplementation of later regulations shall prove specific needs in the application form by a relevant application and certificate. The application is published on the faculty's website in the section Applicants - study options.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted and the admission fee will not be refunded.
After the completion of the 1st degree (B.Sc.), there is a possibility to continue in the 2nd degree (M.Sc.) in all study programmes.
Form of entrance exam
In the case of a significantly larger number of applicants for study, the faculty may decide to conduct an admission interview with the applicants, in which the degree of their motivation for studying in the teacher education programme will be verified.
The criterion for determining the order of applicants for admission to all bachelor's programmes in full-time and part-time form will be the results of studies from secondary school, the average of grades on the end-of-year report cards for the 1st to 3rd year (four-year secondary school studies), for the 1st to 4th year (five-year secondary school studies):

The final ranking of applicants is determined by the total number of points that the applicant receives based on his/her secondary school results (grade point average on end-of-year report cards). If the number of applicants exceeds the faculty's capacity, priority will be given to applicants with a better average. The results of the admission procedure will be published in the MAIS https://mais.unipo.sk/eprihlaska/pages/odosielatel/rozhranie_odosielatela.mais after the admission procedure has been completed, i.e. after the meeting of the admission committee. The written decision on the result of the admission procedure will be delivered by hand within the statutory deadline.
