Conditions of admission

- for admission to full-time studies:

- duly completed and signed application form with required attachments, including the paid admission fee,

- successful completion of a full secondary education or full secondary vocational education,

- fulfilment of the prescribed health criteria for the profession of medical laboratory technician.



Additional information

The Faculty of Health of the Slovak Medical University in Banská Bystrica reserves the right not to open bachelor and master study programmes in case of a lower number of applicants than the planned number.

It also reserves the right not to open any of these study programmes for other serious reasons.

General information on the admission exam

The application form must be accompanied by:

- matriculation certificate - photocopy certified by a notary or registry office,

- a brief curriculum vitae,

- doctor's medical certificate - required on the application form,

- Applicants who are graduating this academic year will submit their matriculation certificate (certified copy) on the day of the entrance exam, fill in the application form with the end of year grades for the 1st,2nd,3rd year of secondary school - grades must be confirmed by the secondary school,

- Applicants who have graduated in the previous period, fill in the application form with the end of year grades from four years of secondary school, the secondary school does not have to confirm the grades,

- if an applicant wishes to apply for more than one program of study at the university, he/she must submit a separate application for each program of study separately and pay the application fee for each application separately.

- Only the candidate who submits a duly filled application form, attaches all the required enclosures and pays the fee within the stipulated deadline will be invited to the entrance exam.
