General medicine (English language)
The graduate knows the basic principles of medicine and is able to apply these in his/her profession, knows the basic methods of medical examination using simple instrumentation and basic laboratory and examination methods and their interpretation, including diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of commonly occurring diseases. In life-threatening conditions, it also covers the basics of providing skilled assistance. Under the expert guidance of an experienced physician, he or she is able to provide medical care at the appropriate level of the organisational structure, is prepared for work in primary health care, is familiar with the basic principles and organisation of health care, and the basic medical legal standards necessary for the exercise of the profession, thereby acquiring the prerequisites for obtaining specialisation in individual medical disciplines or for employment in medical research after completing the prescribed internship, postgraduate studies and examinations. Graduates of the study programme in General Medicine for the preparation of a regulated profession are granted automatic recognition of the diploma in EU countries within the framework of the legislation in force.

1) The basic condition for admission to the study of combined 1st and 2nd degree in full-time form is the acquisition of complete secondary education or complete secondary vocational education and medical fitness for the exercise of a profession.
2) The criterion for admission to the study of General Medicine in English shall be the total score obtained in the admission procedure after passing the entrance examination, which shall place the applicant among the maximum number of applicants to be admitted as indicated. Only the score obtained in the entrance examination is included in the overall admission score. Other activities or benefits at the secondary school are not taken into account in the total point gain.

The entrance exam will be held in the form of an online test in the subjects of chemistry and biology. The subjects
of the entrance examination in chemistry and biology do not exceed the content of a complete secondary education in terms of content.
