Prospects of graduates
Students who have completed the doctoral study programme Applied mathematics will have
acquired deep specialist knowledge in several areas of mathematic and methodological skills
that enable them to apply scientific research methods to discover new patterns in the studied
structures, propose mathematical models of various social, economic, financial and technical areas
and solve the created models using the most recent information technologies. They will have learned
how to present the results of their research in various forms, including publishing in scientific journals
and lecturing at conferences. The graduates are able to keep track of the newest development in their
field and communicate with profesionals in areas of application.
