Central European Areal Studies

The study program is accredited in the field of study Philology. It has a specific focus on the V-4 countries with a view to orient scientific and professional activities to cooperate with the countries of Western Europe. The study provides universal knowledge of Central Europe in terms of language and culture, in particular the Czech, Hungarian and Polish language and culture in the background with the Slovak language and culture. The content of the study program is focused on the acquisition of practical knowledge by which students will be able to present – even in a foreign language – their knowledge of the Central European area.
