Teaching of Practical Preparation

Bachelor study programme Teaching of Practical Preparation shall generate qualified teachers mainly for professional training at specialised secondary schools.

Core subjects of the study programme common for all students provide necessary knowledge in the fields of pedadogy and psychology. In the second year, the programme enables differentiation within five specialisations through elective subjects thus providing knowledge and skills required for respective professions. The elective subjects are structured into five blocks representing respective professional fields. The said professional fields include: Electrical Engineering, Economics and Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Clothing Industry and Wood Industry.

Prospects of graduates

Bachelor degree graduates in the study programme Teaching vocational subjects and professional training are qualified for jobs below depending on attained degree:

teacher of practical and other vocational (manual) subjects at secondary vocational schools,

administrative and technical staff for vocational education,

instructor for respective profession within after-school youth activities.

Conditions of admission

Applicants, secondary schools graduates, are required to submit a written application that shall include:

duly filled in application form (see www.dti.sk) with medical certificate proving applicant's aptitude for university studies

Attachments: verified photocopy of school-leaving exam report (upon registration for studies for applicants who will sit for their school leaving exam in the current year), CV

Filled in and undersigned applications form shall be sent to the address of the Dubnica Technological Institute in Dubnica nad Váhom.

Tuition per semester in the academic year 2010/2011: EUR 290.

Graduates from secondary schools shall be admitted to Dubnica Technological Institute in Dubnica nad Váhom without entrance exams depending on their secondary school scores.
