Conditions of admission

Condition of admission to all study programmes in the study field of teaching of academic subjects is the evaluation of complex secondary school results (secondary school leaving exam (in case of foreign languages, taking of the secondary school leaving exam in foreign language at the B2 level will be awarded a bonus)), secondary school results emphasising specific subjects, participation and results from student olympiads, student scientific activity, state exams and foreign language certificates. No entrance exam requiring individual presence will be realised for these study programmes.

When evaluating pre-requisites of study, however, study results in subjects creating the selected study programme (or combination, e.g. philosophy - History etc.) will be emphasised. In case of study programmes focusing on subjects that are not obligatory at the secondary school or that cannot be a part of the secondary school leaving exam, emphasis will be put on evaluating other obligatory subjects or the total weighted study results (e.g. in case of Latin and in the subject of the Slovak language).

General information on the admission exam

applicant can submit at most two application forms to studies indicating one study programme on the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov on one application form

applicants pay the fee using postal money order of type U, the receipt confirming the payment needs to be glued on page 3 of the application form

application forms without a receipt confirming the payment of the fee will not be accepted

applicant who took the secondary school leaving exam in previous period will attach to the application form also verified copies of all annual school reports, a verified copy of the secondary school leaving exam certificate and CV

applicant who takes the secondary school leaving exam in 2010 indicates in the application grades for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year (or the 4th year in case of 5-year studies), asks the school to confirm correctness of the data, attaches CV and after passing of the secondary school leaving exam will send to the faculty a verified copy of the secondary school leaving exam certificate (applies to applicants not taking the entrance exam), the others will bring the secondary school leaving exam certificates to the entrance exam

applicants will fill out the first and the second page and will ask the relevant youth physician to confirm in the application form their ability to study (in writing, a signature and a stamp of the physician is not enough)

officially not verified copies of certificates and not nostrified secondary school leaving exam certificates issued by foreign secondary schools will not be accepted

applicants with changed work ability will attach to the application form a statement issued by the evaluation committee

offered Bachelor´s study Programmes and their successful completion is one of conditions of continuing the study in accredited Master´s study Programmes
