Architectural Engineering
A graduate of the civil engineering and architecture study program in the field of construction focuses on the issue of designing buildings taking into account wider social, economic and environmental contexts. He masters the use of 3D computer graphics and advanced computing procedures in the field of designing and assessing building structures and spaces from the point of view of statics, building physics, technical equipment of buildings and their environment. Can creatively develop basic theoretical knowledge towards a principled understanding of the issue and flexible handling of tasks aimed at the preparation of complex project documentation for construction procedures and the realization of residential buildings, including more demanding land constructions, as well as participate in the preparation and implementation of residential, non-residential, non-manufacturing, manufacturing buildings , agricultural and other buildings and their renovation. The wide multidisciplinary profile of the graduate is complemented by language skills.
Prospects of graduates
• designer (in projection and in production companies),
• technologist, technician (in investor departments, in departments of state administration and territorial units),
• in the preparation of architectural constructions and the operation of buildings
• is ready for a smooth transition to the second level of study.

The admissions process will take the form of a selection procedure, without personal participation of applicants and without entrance exams. Applicants for the bachelor's program at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, TUKE, will be evaluated based on the following criteria, expressed in points:
- Academic results from the last year of high school before the final exams,
- Type of secondary school,
- Results of the final exam in accordance with Act No. 245/2008 Coll. on Education and Training (School Act) and amendments, and Decree No. 224/2022 Coll. on Secondary Schools and its amendments,
- Results of successful completion of a general aptitude test for university study, i.e., a test evaluating basic abilities needed for successful university studies, such as: General Academic Prerequisites (GAP), SAT, ACT, SCIO General Study Prerequisites, Mathematics Test (MAT), ZNO (External Independent Assessment),
- Successful completion of the final exam in mathematics or physics,
- Number of documented (uploaded in the system) successful participations in regional, national, or higher levels of olympiads or other significant competitions.

- If the applicant is a person granted asylum or provided with subsidiary protection, the condition of obtaining full secondary education or full secondary vocational education can be demonstrated by a sworn statement and a general study prerequisites test when submitting the application. Upon enrollment, it is necessary to submit or send by email a request for recognition of the educational document and subsequently the decision on the recognition of the educational document.
- If the applicant is a person granted temporary refuge, the condition of obtaining full secondary education or full secondary vocational education can be demonstrated by a sworn statement and a general study prerequisites test when submitting the application. Upon enrollment, it is necessary to submit apostilled documents and a request for recognition of the educational document and the decision on the recognition of the educational document.
