Computer Engineering
Graduates of the Computer Engineering programme will acquire a wide range of theoretical knowledge in areas related to computer engineering. Graduates are prepared to enter practical professional life, where they will find employment mainly in the development and design of computer systems, the development of digital systems, system programming and the operation and management of computer systems, or they can continue their doctoral studies. They are prepared to solve theoretical problems and application tasks related to the development and design of digital systems based on microcomputers, programmable customer circuits and modules. These skills enable graduates to work as an independent researcher, developer, designer, designer or technologist in the process of research, development and production of control, communication, measurement and diagnostic systems.

The key admission requirement is to obtain a Bachelor´s degree (in accordance with the Higher Education Act 131/2002 Coll. as amended) in the same or similar field of study.
Conditions for international students
Foreign prospective students are admitted in accordance with the competent international agreements or if a student is going to study in a foreign language, they pay the school fees as stated in the Higher Education Act, paragraph 92, article 8 . The UNIZA guidelines set the school fees and they are published on the university website. The foreign prospective students are required to get a minimum B1 level in the Slovak language test, except the Czech prospective students. They will have to take the test on the same day as the entrance exams. Passing it successfully with B1 level minimum is another admission requirement. The applicants from the Czech republic can use the application form valid in their country.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Prospective students, who have successfully passed the required subjects during the Bachelor´s studies (or their equivalent), can apply for recognition in the subjects. The wrriten application addressed to theDean is a part of the e-application and can be found on our website.

After the deadline the prospective students will receive an invitation with all the details for an entrance exams. After the registration they must take a test within the time allocated and the results are available on the same day. The applicants can check their results on the website http://vzdelavanie.uniza.sk/prijimacky/ using their surname and ID code. The admission letter will be sent to the applicants by 31 July 2024.
Unsuccessful applicants can be admitted to converted 3-year study programmes. The key requirement for admission to those programmes is the weighted average for the Bachelor´s study.
