The study at Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies Technical University of Košice with the seat in Prešov is based on the credit method of evaluation. The first degree of university study is bachelor degree, the second one is engineering degree and the third one is doctoral degree. The study is divided into compulsory, compulsory elective and elective subjects. The student is obliged to complete the compulsory subjects in full. By choosing compulsory elective courses, the student must complete the standard workload of 30 credits per semester and 60 credits per academic year (in the case of external study, the workload is set at 48 credits under the law). With the optional subjects that the student completes above the standard load of 60 (48) credits per academic year, he / she can supplement the missing knowledge, or choose those subjects of another study program, another faculty or university, which he / she is interested in.



Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the programme Computer Aided Manufacturing Technologies can work as designers, CAM programmers and 3D inspection workers. They are able to independently create technical documentation as well as to design, perform computer analysis and simulation of production processes, create programs for CNC machines.

Additional information

Students have the opportunity to use accommodation capacities in student dormitories in Prešov according to Technical university of Košice criteria. Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies has a sufficient number of beds to cover student accommodation in full. Students' meals are provided in the student canteens. Internet access is possible via wifi in all areas of the faculty as well as in student dormitories. In free time, a gym as well as external sports grounds are available to students.

Selected students of the faculty are allowed to complete part of their studies abroad (eg Germany, Poland, Italy, etc.) through international projects (ERASMUS, NŠP, CEEPUS), in which the faculty is actively involved and also through bilateral agreements between the faculty and universities abroad.

The faculty offers study in this study program also for foreign students in English. There is a fee for studying in this study program in English.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Applicants for study in bachelor degree  at Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies will be evaluated on the basis of the overall average of marks from all subjects for all years of study and the results of the school-leaving examination.

Based on the final average of the achieved marks of secondary school studies, the order of applicants in the study programs will be determined, on the basis of which the dean of the faculty will decide on the number of accepted applicants in individual study programs.



General information on the admission exam

Applicants for study in bachelor degree are required to provide the following with their application:

  • write marks in the application by the secondary school (1st - 3rd year, on the other side of the application),
  • after graduating from high school, to send a copy of the certificate from the last year of high school and graduation certificate,
  • signed CV.

If you have completed secondary education before 2021, a copy of all secondary school leaving certificates, including a high school diploma, is required.
