Managerial Mathematics

Prospects of graduates

A graduate of the Managerial Mathematics course of study has got good language skills (especially, English is required as matter of course) and due to the quality and contents of the education, the graduate will achieve the capability of exact thinking, which can be applied profitably in a number of areas of all-society practice. The most typical examples of the prospects of mathematicians - managers include:

Managing staff on medium to top levels of management in private or state enterprises or public administration.

Graduates can be employed in banks or insurance companies (data processing, statistical analyses, analysis and programming of concrete applications in economics).

Qualitative modelling of various economic and social phenomena.

Upon completion of the Master studies the graduates will be prepared to continue Doctoral studies either at the Comenius University or foreign universities. (Many graduates have succeeded to continue their studies in the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute.)

The experiences from tuition in the current specialisation of Mathematics - management show that most students with the Master degree find an attractive job easily and become highly demanded top managers. A small number continue Doctoral studies of the same specialisation.
