Geography and applied geoinformatics
Definition of the graduate's field of application:
The graduate will acquire knowledge, skills and competences that will enable him/her to be widely employed in the labour market. He/she will be able to find employment in state administration, local and regional self-government, EU institutions, especially in departments dealing with local and regional development, spatial planning, tourism, marketing and promotion, human resources, environmental protection and creation; also in private expertise and design practice, non-profit organisations, development, marketing, real estate and travel agencies and offices, public opinion research agencies, institutionalised clusters and the media. He/she will be prepared to set up his/her own business in a field using geographic and geoinformatics expertise. The graduate may continue his/her studies at third level in the degree programme in 4.1.38. Regional Geography.

Conditions for admission to Master's degree programmes:
Acceptance is subject to completion of bachelor's studies in a relevant or related study programme by state examination. In case the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the faculty, preference will be given to applicants with a better study average during the bachelor's studies and the state examination.
