Applied Informatics

A graduate of Doctoral study by obtaining university education of a third level in the programme of Applied informatics Masters scientific methods of research in the area of applied informatics with orientation mainly on methods, technologies and resources of applied informatics and problem solving of select application areas. The graduate will also adopt the principles of individual and team-based scientific work, scientific formulation of problems (abstract formalization), legal and environmental aspects of new solutions, ethical and social aspects of scientific work, presentation of results, development of study field and contributions towards practice. On the basis of solution of a specified topic, the graduate will understand applied informatics for the respective application area as a discipline and as an area of knowledge and also as a profession in its broader social context. At the same time, he will be aware of social, moral, legal and economic connections of his profession, of the need of continuous professional development and lifelong education, to be able to perform research with a high rate of creativity and independence, lead large projects and take responsibility for complex solutions.



Prospects of graduates

A graduate of Doctoral studies is ready for development of scientific prospect in the entire range of areas of applied informatics, in which he creatively applies advanced methods and techniques of design and development of information technology systems, or for an immediate entry into the labor market He will find employment as a member of a creative team or its manager in the public and also private sector, in bank industry, transportation, healthcare and generally everywhere, where a scientific work in the area of applied informatics is needed.

Conditions of admission

The basic condition of admission to study of the third level study programme is according to § 56 section 3 of the Act on universities no.131/2002 Law Coll. the completion of a second level study programme or a study programme specified under § 53 section 3.



Conditions for international students

Conditions for international students are the same as for Slovak students.



Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Admission without entrance exams is not possible.
