Production Devices and Systems
The graduate obtains a complete first degree in Production Technology with an orientation on mechanical engineering production including maintenance and means of mechanization and automation. He/she will have an understanding of mechanical engineering technologies and the tools used. He/she will have knowledge of the basics of management, environmental science, occupational health and safety, and will be able to solve problems in the field of engineering materials, their properties, as well as in the mechanics of machinery. They will be prepared either for the second cycle of the Manufacturing Equipment and Systems degree programme or for immediate entry into the labour market. The graduate will find employment as a designer of automated production systems and equipment, or as a technologist, an independent entrepreneur in engineering services or as a specialist in various positions in production and technology departments.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate can operate as a designer of automated production systems and devices, or as a technologist or independent entrepreneur in engineering services as well as an expert in various production and technological workplaces.
Despite the lacking related statistics on graduates’ implementation, we can state that majority of bachelor study graduates continue in related master study. Nevertheless, some graduates enter the job market immediately after graduation and accomplish their master study in part-time form. In general, the graduates of Production devices and systems study programme have no difficulties to find a job; on the contrary, they are often headhunted.

Additional information
The faculty can be studied full-time, full-time or by a combined method.
Daily study can be done in Trnava or at the teaching centre in Dubnica nad Váhom. The first two semesters (one academic year) are taught in Dubnica nad Váhom. In the following year, teaching continues in Trnava. The teaching method used in the course is the full-time and combined (distance-presence) method, which does not require the daily presence of the student on the premises of the school. The combined method is recommended for applicants who are interested in studying alongside their employment.
First cycle:
- Bachelor's full-time study of 3 years duration, ending with a state examination, and graduates are awarded the academic degree of "Bachelor of Science" (B.Sc.). After successfully passing the state examination, the bachelor graduate can continue his/her studies at the second level or leave the faculty.
- During the third year, students may apply for engineering degree programmes if they choose to continue their studies at the second degree level.
Second Degree:
- Engineering full-time studies of 2 years, ending with a state examination and the academic degree of "Engineer" (Eng.). At the second level, the candidate can start studies only after obtaining the academic degree "Bachelor" at the first level.

- In the application form, the applicant shall indicate one of the bachelor's degree programmes he/she wishes to study.
- If the applicant is interested in studying the first year of studies at the Dubnica nad Váhom Learning Centre, he/she shall indicate this when creating the e-application for studies. The printed application form for studies in Trnava or Dubnica is delivered to the faculty's address in Trnava.
- After processing the application (during April), the faculty will confirm in writing that the application has been accepted and will send information about the admission procedure.
Mandatory attachments are:
- resume
- receipt of payment - see www.mtf.stuba.sk
- graduating in the 2017/2018 school year - include a scan of a report card of grades and averages from high school for the last three years successfully completed (not including the midterm of the current year) in the application form. Immediately after graduation, scan a certified copy of the graduation certificate and final year report card into the application form and deliver them to the faculty by the deadline (to be verified at the registry office/respectively at a notary public, the correctness of the data can also be confirmed by the secondary school),
- graduates before 2018 will include in the application form a scan of the completed report of grades and averages from the last four years of high school + the graduation certificate (in the case of 5-year studies, list grades and averages from the 2nd to the 5th year). At the same time, by the deadline set for the submission of applications, he/she delivers a certified copy of the matriculation certificate and the final year certificate to the faculty (to be verified at the registry office/respectively at a notary
- medical certificate of competence is not required by the faculty
