Production Engineering
The graduates of the Production Engineering study programme within the doctoral studies master the scientific methods of research and development of Production Engineering oriented to the development of machinery in the field of machining, forming, welding and robotic equipment. They are able to conduct scientific research, use methods of analysis and synthesis, bring their own new solutions to problems, and thus acquire new knowledge in the field of Production Engineering. They can determine the focus of research, propose experimental verification of hypotheses, work in a team and coordinate team work. They are experts in their fields and are ready to professionally present the results of their own research and development to the scientific community in the Slovak Republic and abroad.
Graduates of the study programme of Production Engineering are prepared for jobs: engineering specialist in research and development, university researcher, and university teacher.

Only applicants who have completed the second cycle of higher education may apply for doctoral studies.

In the application form for doctoral studies, the applicant shall indicate:
a) name and surname, date and place of birth, place of residence,
b) selected study programme and the topic of the dissertation,
c) selected form of doctoral studies.
a) curriculum vitae,
b) a copy of the proof of payment of the admission fee,
b) certified photocopies of the documents of graduation (university diploma, certificate of state examination, diploma supplement, etc.
c) a list of professional and scientific (artistic) works published so far,
d) a confirmation of the applicant's professional experience for full-time studies,
e) a framework project of the dissertation,
f) in case the applicant has passed international examinations in a foreign language, he/she shall attach a certified certificate from these examinations.
Form of entrance exam
The interview consists of:
- a written examination in a foreign language,
- a professional interview in front of the examination board for admission interviews.
