Public Health
Public Health is:
1) Single-subject study, organizationally divided into II. degree of higher education in the external form - 5 semesters (Mgr.) with the possibility of specialization in the following areas: infectious disease control, health management, occupational health.
2) Focused on the protection and improvement of population health through health education, health promotion, research and disease prevention strategies.
3) Focused on the knowledge and application of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary population-based and population-oriented methods of research, teaching, service and practical application of various disciplines. These include: biology, chemistry, biophysics, medicine (hygiene, epidemiology, medical microbiology, environmental health, occupational medicine, social medicine, health education, prevention-oriented parts of clinical disciplines), anthropology, sociology, statistics, computer science, communication, nursing, law, engineering sciences, etc.

State health institutes, factory health services, research institutes focusing on infectious diseases, non-infectious mass-occurring diseases, occupational medicine, occupational hygiene and physiology, pharmaceutical companies - researcher, hospitals - hospital hygienist, health promotion centres, health counselling centres, non-state organizations focusing on the protection and promotion of people's health, state administration in the field of health protection and occupational health.

1. University studies of the 1st (Bachelor's) degree completed by a state examination.
2. Completed application form for university studies (form: purchase at ŠEVT or download https://www.minedu.sk/prihlaska-na-studium-vypis-z-danoveho-priznania-a-ine-formulare/) includes:
- certified copy of the diploma (graduates of St. Elizabeth's College of Higher Education and SP will supply an uncertified copy)
- certified copy of the state examination certificate (graduates of St Elizabeth's HEI and SP shall supply an uncertified copy)
- certified supplement to the diploma (graduates of the VŠZ and SP St. Elizabeth's shall provide an uncertified copy)
Applicants who will take the state examination after the deadline for submission of applications shall provide the diploma (certified copy), the certificate of the state examination (certified copy) and the supplement (certified copy) additionally (§ 58 (1) of Act No. 455/2012 Coll., Art. amending Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education as amended) before the enrolment deadline, so that a decision on admission to study can be sent.
Without submitting certified copies of the diploma, the certificate of state examination and the supplement to the diploma, the applicant will not be admitted/enrolled to study (§ 59 (3) of Act No. 455/2012 Coll., as amended, which provides for the amendment of the Act No. 455/2012 Coll. amending Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education as amended). - student applicants who have studied at a foreign university - Decision on recognition of the equivalence of the educational document (photocopy of the decision must be officially certified) and at the same time they also provide an uncertified copy of the foreign educational document,
- Curriculum Vitae (signed)
- certificate of medical fitness to practise - from a doctor (for medical disciplines only)
- the applicant for the external form of study shall provide details of employment on page 2 of the application form
- proof of payment of the admission fee by deposit into an account
General information about the admission procedure:
- the college reserves the right not to open the first year of a programme of study for which a sufficient number of applicants have not applied
- an applicant who has paid the admissions fee, has been sent an admission decision and does not enrol will not be refunded
- the fee will also not be refunded to applicants not admitted on the basis of an incomplete application
- the registered application form with documents remains on file and in the archives of the college - it is not returned
Specific conditions of admission:
- Completion of the first degree of higher education in the relevant field of study.
- An application form must be accompanied by a medical certificate of fitness to practise from a doctor and a certificate of employment as a medical laboratory technician.

- Accompletion of the first cycle of higher education in the relevant field of study or in a medical field
- Submit a medical certificate of fitness to practise from a doctor with the application form.
- Applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree in another medical field will take an entrance examination. The date, the framework content with recommended readings as well as the evaluation will be published on the school's website. The entrance examination is written and tests knowledge within the scope of the bachelor's degree of the relevant field of study.
