Trh a kvalita potravín
- The study programme Market and Food Quality is aimed at mastering chemical, biological, technological and economic knowledge in the field of food in order to apply the principles and forms of the Common Agricultural Policy. Students master the quality and commodity standards of food of domestic producers, master the legislation and are able to carry out quality control of plant and animal products subject to the common market organisation in the European Union within the framework of the common agricultural policy. They shall be familiar with the principles of price monitoring and the intervention system in food marketing. Graduates can work in inspection bodies carrying out control activities within the framework of the common market organisation for the needs of the Agricultural Payment Agency of the Slovak Republic, perform the duties of quality manager in food processing enterprises, carry out food analyses with a focus on quality parameters and management activities in the sale of food and in catering establishments with a focus on legislation, technology, gastronomic treatment of food and the resulting quality and health safety.
Prospects of graduates
- The graduate of the study programme market and food quality has an application in inspection bodies carrying out control activities within the framework of the common organisation of the food market for the needs of the Agricultural Payment Agency of the Slovak Republic, to carry out the duties of quality manager in food processing enterprises and to carry out food analyses with a focus on quality parameters, in catering establishments and food sales, in consultancy institutions (production, handling of food for circulation in terms of the introduction of quality systems), in education and scientific research institutions.

SP TaKP- DF:
An applicant who has completed the first cycle of university studies can be admitted. The admission of candidates will be determined on the basis of the weighted academic average of the previous studies.
These study programmes are also open for continuation of studies at the 2nd cycle of higher education of related study programmes of another university. To be considered for admission, the application must receive a favourable opinion from the committee, which will assess the suitability of the applicant on the basis of a comparison of the curricula of the first degree programme completed. Admission will be determined on the basis of the weighted average of the applicant's previous studies.
