Graduate/Unit Profile

A graduate of the bachelor's degree program is eligible to hold the position of graduate assistant to a second-degree graduate student in psychology. He/she is able to keep abreast of new findings in the rapidly developing disciplines of: experimental, social, ontogenetic, educational and school, counseling and clinical, occupational, and organizational psychology. The graduate of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology has good professional knowledge, skills, as well as personal qualities, which he/she is able to apply at an appropriate professional level in the position of a psychologist-assistant in school practice, industry and services.



Prospects of graduates

The main target area of application of the graduate - bachelor psychologist is professional realization in the position of assistant of the graduate of the second degree of university study of psychology. It finds its application in work-functional positions with application in the areas of economic and social life and in work-functional positions in organizations of diverse orientation (technical, economic, engineering, business, scientific, medical, cultural and others).

Conditions of admission

FSVaZ accepts electronically submitted applications without the need to send paper versions. It is recommended to upload scans of all required attachments to the online application form. Officially certified copies of the transcripts and the school leaving certificate must be submitted by the deadline set by FSVaZ.

BASIC CONDITION FOR ADMISSION TO THE STUDY (according to Article 56(1) of Act No. 131/2002 on Higher Education)

  • the study programme may be chosen by graduates of secondary schools from the Slovak Republic and from abroad who have completed their secondary school studies with a matriculation examination (or equivalent examination) and submit a valid document to that effect by the deadline set by the FSVaZ;

applicants who do not fulfil the basic condition for admission by the set deadline, but who fulfil other basic conditions for admission to the study set by FSVaZ and at the same time obtain the necessary number of points for admission according to the set criteria, may be admitted to the study with the proviso that they are obliged to prove fulfilment of the basic condition no later than on the date set for enrolment in the study (pursuant to Section 58(1) of Act No 131/2002 on Higher Education Institutions of Higher Education).

After assessment of the fulfilment of the basic conditions for admission to the study, the applicants with the highest number of points achieved according to the criteria for the selection of applicants set by the FSVaZ will be admitted.
