Telekomunikácie

In both forms - full-time and part-time - the study and research of the PhD student is related to the main areas of research at STU, namely data transmission and coding, optocommunications, system coupling, signal processing and the study of mass communication. A successful PhD graduate must generate new, previously unpublished knowledge in the current areas of STS Telecommunications through his/her research. The Ph.D. thesis must demonstrate the author's ability to explain and present his/her ideas not only logically but also pedagogically. Substantial results of the thesis must be published before the defence at a major international conference or in a foreign scientific journal, or be part of a patent. The profile includes knowledge in basic theoretical subjects, programming, management skills and knowledge of foreign languages.

Graduates will find professional employment in various sectors of science, research, industry and services in both the public and private sectors.
