Technology and management in construction

Graduates of the engineering program are able to prepare and manage the construction of complex buildings, manage a construction company, conduct research with a high degree of creativity and independence. Emphasis is placed on graduates gaining a deep knowledge of the theory of construction technology, being able to manage a team of workers in the preparation and execution of construction, being able to independently lead even large projects and take responsibility for complex solutions. The graduate is able to apply and develop the acquired theoretical knowledge, analyse systems, optimise procedures and solutions. Graduates are able to understand and solve problems at the regional level when working within a VUC.



Prospects of graduates

After the completion of the 2nd level of higher education, the graduate of the programme will be employed in the preparation, implementation of all types of buildings and sets of buildings at higher and management levels:

  • chief construction manager, chief construction supervisor,
  • interdisciplinary expert in construction economics and management,
  • Senior engineer of construction technology projects,
  • quality manager of a construction company,
  • head of construction departments in state and local government
  • state construction supervision and state supervision
  • manager and coordinator of occupational health and safety,
  • conceptual officer for standard-setting activities,
  • conceptual officer for construction and regional development,
  • expert in the field of expert activities.

Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission is the successful completion of the Bachelor's degree in the relevant or related degree on the basis of the assessment of the completed courses in the supporting areas of knowledge of the study programme.

1. successful completion of the 1st (Bachelor's) level of study,

2. successful completion of a programme or field of study with a structure of completed courses that guarantees eligibility to continue to engineering studies.
