Fire protection and Safety
The profile of a graduate of the second degree of study of the study programme Fire Protection and Safety consists of:
1. knowledge - in the field of fire protection and rescue services, fire safety of buildings and technological processes, fire-technical properties of materials and their evaluation, fire-fighting techniques and technologies, occupational health and safety, crisis management and civil protection, people management, including control activities;
2. Skills - to analyze the causes and specify the problems in the liquidation of complex fires and other emergencies, to manage the processes of changes in technical and technological procedures in the prevention of fires and emergencies, to modify the general and professional knowledge for the development of plans and concepts of the IZS, organise and coordinate forces and resources in the liquidation of fires and other emergencies, creatively use tools to prevent and resolve crisis situations, process documentation, reports, expert opinions and expertise in the field of fire protection, occupational safety and health and civil protection;
3. competences - to independently analyse the condition and decide on the method of performing rescue, liquidation and rehabilitation works, to propose solutions for fire safety of selected technological systems, buildings and specialised constructions, to process complex documentation in the field of fire protection, occupational safety and health protection and civil protection, to create the concept of education and training within the framework of professional and specialised training in the field of fire protection and occupational safety and health protection and civil protection.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate of the second degree of the study programme "Fire protection and Safety" will be applied as a manager of IZS or in HaZZ or in a management position in the state administration and local government, organizations providing services for the protection of persons and property and as an independent worker for the comprehensive assessment of fire protection and safety systems. He/she has the possibility to continue his/her studies at the third level of studies.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Admission of applicants to the engineering study programme Fire Protection and Safety of the study field Security Sciences will take place in the form of a selective admission procedure without the participation of applicants.
The level and nature of the Bachelor's studies completed will be assessed on the basis of an evaluation of the weighted study average of the Bachelor's studies and the overall result of the state examination. Graduates of a study programme in a related field will be required to take selected courses from the Security Sciences core of the first degree without credit.
The deadline for the selection admission procedure is on 20.7.2022
