Production Processes and Materials
The graduate's professional profile is formed by knowledge of the properties and use of traditional construction and tooling materials, a wide range of conventional and modern processing technologies (machining, forming, casting, welding, etc.), machines and tools for the implementation of these technologies, with an emphasis on the design of tools and the construction of technical equipment for single-purpose and universal production machines, flexible automated production machines and assembly systems, as well as their control. The graduate is a comprehensively professionally, economically and ecologically educated engineer. He is able to perform functions in enterprises of mechanical, electrical and consumer industry, in evaluation and technical-management services, in the sphere of production management, technical control and quality management.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates of all study programmes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava are mainly applied in enterprises of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and consumer industry, consulting and technical-managerial services, transport, insurance, education, scientific-research, development and design organizations, in the municipal sphere and in trade. They are qualified for the operation of various technical equipment, for construction, design, testing, metrology, software engineering, technical preparation of production, management of production departments, technical control, technical-expert and investor activities, implementation of investment programmes, as well as for work in the scientific research field.
