The graduate of the study programme is able to solve less demanding managerial-economic decision-making problems in the enterprise. He/she knows the basic managerial, marketing and economic links of the company's activities. He/she has knowledge of economic policy, macro and microeconomics, business economics, finance, management, marketing, accounting, statistics and mathematics, calculations, budgets and financial-economic analysis, production management, business planning.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate will be able to apply as a manager at the middle and first level of management in business entities, in professional bodies, or in public administration as a manager at the middle and first level of management in the agricultural primary production, food industry, company providing services for agriculture, as a manager of marketing and sales departments, foreign trade departments.

The basic condition for admission to bachelor studies according to §56 (1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended, is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education completed with a matriculation diploma.

In case of exceeding the planned number of applicants. The order of applicants will be established as follows:
- Applicants whose grade point average is equal to or lower than 1.7 (from the end-of-year report cards for 1st - 3rd year and the mid-year report card in the 4th year of secondary school, or from the end-of-year report cards for 1st - 4th year and the mid-year report card in the 5th year of secondary school).
- Candidates who ranked in the first three places of the regional or national round of the Economic Olympiad.
- Other applicants will be ranked on the basis of the evaluation of the study results from secondary school (from the end-of-year report cards for 1. - 3. year and half-year certificate in the 4th year of secondary school, or from the end-of-year certificates for the 1st - 4th year and half-year certificate in the 5th year of secondary school).

The faculty reserves the right not to open a study programme in full-time and/or external form, for which a low number of candidates applies.
The stated evaluation criteria on the eligibility of applicants for admission are supplemented in accordance with Section 57 (1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll.
- social aspects (orphans, half-orphans),
- physically handicapped applicants,
- foreign Slovaks.
An applicant with specific needs shall, at his/her request, on the basis of an evaluation of his/her specific needs, be determined the form of the entrance examination and the manner of its conduct.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants or applicants who have graduated abroad are obliged to attach to the application form (http://www.uniag.sk/en/admission-requirements/), in addition to the required attachments, also the Decision on Recognition of Education Document.
The Decision on Recognition of Education Document is issued by the competent Regional Office of School Administration according to the place of permanent residence of the applicant. The procedure for the processing of the above-mentioned documents is given on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic

Foreign applicants for Bachelor's studies will be admitted on the basis of an assessment of their overall academic average and an evaluation of the documentation submitted without entrance examinations. As part of the admission procedure, foreign applicants will be interviewed using electronic communication systems (e.g. Skype, MS TEAMS, Link, etc.)

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
The entrance exam may be waived and the following applicants will be admitted:
- whose study average is equal to or lower than 1.7 /from the end-of-year report cards for 1st - 3rd year and the half-year report card in 4th - 4th year. from the end-of-year report cards for the 1st-4th year and the half-year report card in the 5th year of secondary school/ - who ranked in the first three places in the regional or national round of the Economic Olympiad,
The entrance examination may be waived and applicants who achieve a percentile equal to or higher than 50 in the Basic General Aptitude Test (GAT) will be admitted to study. The weights of all sections of the GAT test are identical. The test can be taken as part of the National Benchmarking Examinations (NBA), which are provided by Scio on six dates and in several cities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Candidates can also take the test in Nitra, which will be held in Slovak. It is possible to take the VŠP test more than once; the best result will always be counted.
Testing dates, sample tests and conditions for applying for testing are published at http://www.scio.sk/nsz/. The faculty takes into account the result of both the Slovak version of the test (VŠP Z) and the Czech version (OSP Z). It is up to the applicant to decide which language version to take.
Application for the VŠP test and payment of the associated costs is up to each applicant (application form at http://scio.sk/in/2vs/nsz/prihlaska.asp). The Faculty does not organise these tests and does not register or invite candidates to take them. A candidate who duly applies for the VET exam will receive an invitation to the exam approximately 10 days before the exam by email from Scio.
The candidate does not submit his/her result to the faculty. Candidates' result is handed over to the faculty exclusively by Scio. However, each candidate must provide Scio with his/her consent to hand over the results (he/she will do so as part of the application form for the Higher School Certificate Examination)

All applicants who apply and meet at least one of the above conditions for waiving the entrance exam will be conditionally admitted to study (without the entrance exam). For this reason, applicants who take the matriculation exam in this school year must additionally provide proof of the matriculation exam result.

Applicants for studies submit an electronic application through the SPU University Information System or through the University Portal. They can also apply for several study programmes (within one admission fee) via one application form. Each applicant will take only one admission examination and will receive information about the admission procedure as well as an invitation to a specific date on which they will take the admission examination. Proof of payment of the admission fee must be attached to the application form. Without proof of payment of the fee, the application will not be registered. After the admission procedure, the applicant will receive only one statement of acceptance or non-acceptance, comprehensively for all the study programmes for which he/she has applied.
Faculty will not send a statement of acceptance to applicants. Invitation for the specific date of the entrance examination will be sent to applicants one month before the examination.
In the application form it is necessary to indicate: the degree and form of study, the name of the university, the name of the faculty, the study programme (or several study programmes in the order of the applicant's preference).
In the field I will take the entrance exam in language: you must indicate one of the following combinations:
- specific foreign - world language and mathematics
- economics and mathematics
- specific foreign - world language and economics.
Mandatory attachments to the application form are:
- curriculum vitae (original signed by the applicant),
- certified copy of the matriculation certificate,
- confirmation of payment of the fee for the material support of the admission procedure (the invitation to the admission procedure will be sent only to applicants who enclose with the application form a proof of payment of the fee for the admission procedure).
If the applicant is taking the matriculation examination in 2023, he/she shall send a certified copy of the matriculation certificate to the study department of the faculty as soon as possible after receiving it.
Form of entrance exam
The admission procedure for all bachelor study programmes is carried out in the form of written tests of two selection subjects. The student has the choice of three subjects: economics, world language or mathematics. The questions for the entrance examinations from individual subjects are made available to applicants in the form of teaching aids under the titles Requirements for the SPU in Nitra entrance examinations in mathematics, Requirements for the SPU in Nitra entrance examinations in world languages and Requirements for the SPU in Nitra entrance examinations in economics, which are available for every candidate and can be purchased at the Publishing and Editing Centre of SPU in Nitra (phone number 037/641 4227, link to the e-schop of the publishing house: Publishing.uniag.sk). Candidates' records, test results, as well as the overall results of the entrance exam are processed through modern information technologies. A unique test is generated for each student from a database of assignments by computer, which is evaluated after submission by a scanner without human intervention and the student learns the result of the test within a few minutes. The scores obtained for each test will be published within 24 hours on the official FEM bulletin board and on the faculty website. Candidates will be given access to their results on the basis of the registration number assigned to them. The point value of each test is 80 points. The decisive criterion for the selection of students for first cycle studies will be the total number of points achieved in both tests.

The results of the matriculation exam are not included in the overall score.
Foreign language: the following world languages are available to choose from - AJ, NJ, ŠJ, FJ, RJ.
In the evaluation of the results of the entrance examination, the state language examination in vocational or general languages (not the matriculation examination) may be accepted instead of the world language subject with the following evaluation: grade 1 - 80 points, 2 - 72 points and 3 - 60 points, the state language examination in basic languages: grade 1 - 72 points, 2 - 64 points and 3 - 52 points. Other language certificates which have been obtained at language schools accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic or abroad and which explicitly state the level of knowledge attained (B2, C1, C2), the final assessment and consist of two parts, written and oral, are also recognised. Applicants will have the choice between accepting the specified assessment of the relevant language examination and writing a test in a foreign language. In accordance with the accreditation of study programmes at the first cycle of higher education, students of the study programme International Business with Agrarian Commodities and its English version International Business with Agrarian Commodities, as well as students of the study programme Business Management and its English version Business Management, are obliged to take a 4-semester preparation in a foreign language (AJ, NJ) and to take the examination for the international certificate UNIcert® III (level C1 in accordance with the European Framework of Reference for Languages).
The examination will be held at the end of the first cycle of study.
