Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission to the study is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete
secondary vocational education completed with a high school diploma.

FURTHER CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE STUDY
- The result of the matriculation examination (the number of points is determined according to the table in the annex*).
- Candidates are admitted according to their position in the waiting list.
In case of lack of applicants for any of the study programmes of FAPZ, the Dean may:
- offer applicants who did not place in the waiting list for the applied study programme,
- the possibility of admission to an alternative programme with a lower number of applicants,
- accept the results of the admission procedure at other faculties of the SPU in Nitra, or other universities
.

Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants or applicants who have graduated abroad are obliged to attach to the application form (http://www.uniag.sk/en/admission-requirements/), in addition to the required attachments, also the Decision on Recognition of Education Document.
The Decision on Recognition of Education Document is issued by the competent Regional Office of School Administration according to the place of permanent residence of the applicant. The procedure for the processing of the above-mentioned documents is listed
on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic
https://www.minedu.sk/uznavanie-ukonceneho-vzdelania-na-zakladnych-a-strednych-skolach/.
In the case of a foreign applicant without a residence permit in the Slovak Republic, the decision is issued by the Regional Office of
School Administration in Nitra, J. Vuruma 1, 949 01 Nitra the application for recognition of the document of education .

General information on the admission exam

Application deadline: for the first round until 30 April 2023
for the second round until 15 July 2023
Study applicants submit an electronic application via the University Information System of SPU or via the University Portal.
When submitting the application, it is also possible to indicate an alternative study programme, while the fee is paid
only once.
Applicants shall enter the following attachments into the system when submitting their application:
- Certified copy of the matriculation certificate.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Proof of payment of the admission fee.
- Medical certificate of eligibility for university studies and profession
If the applicant is taking the matriculation examination in 2023, he/she shall send a certified copy of the matriculation certificate
as soon as possible after its receipt to the study department of the faculty.

Admission committee meeting date for the first round: 5 - 6 June 2023
for the second round: 31 July 2023
Applicants for the study programme in hippology must demonstrate to the admission committee practical
competence in the basic handling of horses.
