Management of security systems

USM in Košice is dedicated to the higher education of professionals for practice on a wide scale with a concentration on knowledge in the field of law, security sciences, economics, technical sciences, logistics, environmental science and other areas. The broad spectrum of subjects taught gives the graduate the foundation of knowledge necessary for a realistic assessment of the day-to-day demands placed on the manager and for making the right decisions, with an emphasis on safety aspects.



Prospects of graduates

USM in Košice organizes full-time and external studies in the study programme Security Systems Management, in the 1st stage (Bachelor), 2nd stage (Engineering) and 3rd stage (PhD) of higher education.

Graduate Application :

  • placement in the public and private sectors,
  • management functions in organisations in the provision of multifaceted security tasks,
  • representing functions with the role of estimating risk to the managed area,
  • leadership functions in security forces,
  • management functions in the Slovak integrated rescue system,
  • priority recruitment to the Slovak Police Force and the Slovak Armed Forces,
  • graduate has knowledge of managerial functions in the field of protection of persons and property. To the extent required, he/she has knowledge of the interpretation and application of the law in the system of public or private organisations dealing with all-round security.

The admission procedure for the third level of education (PhD.) is carried out in the form of an admission interview and assessment of the documents submitted in the application form.
