Management of security systems
The study is focussed on university preparation of experts for a public administration sphere as well as for private administration sphere.
Graduates solve security tasks in a production sphere at protection of material and immaterial property of citizens and natural persons and corporate entity and villages and state from influence of risks security of various orders.
Graduate has equivalent and for up-to-date conditions attractive education on security information technologies and economic and social sciences with a competence of these sciences to apply into area of internal and external protection of the state and risks of any orders.
The study guarantees practice and mobility of a graduate in management posts in: public administration, security services of whole range, executive agencies, integrated rescue systems, self-government, private firms and corporate, metropolitan police, police forces and armed forces of the Slovak Republic.

of the ECONOMIC and MANAGEMENT and SECURITY and JURIDICAL SPECIALIZATION.
Prospects of graduates
The University of Security Management in Košice organizes full time and part time study in the study program of Management of Security Systems, in the Bachelor´s degree (Bachelor) and Master´s degree (engineer) of higher education.

Additional information
In the course of the full time study, students can participate in a special survival course under the supervision of professional instructors and they are awarded the survival course certificate. The students also have an opportunity to get a martial arts course certificate (photo), as well as the type S license for security guards and the training necessary to obtain a firearms license.

It is permitted to apply for only one study program in the application form. The confirmation of payment is required to be included in the application form. The application must include certified copies of all the high school reports, certified copy of high school leaving report, passport format photographs - 3 pieces, the curriculum vitae - handwritten and signed, health certificate from the doctor (only for a full-time study), mobile phone number or other contact.

Form of entrance exam
The admission interview takes place in person on the premises of the university. USM welcomes the applicant to be accompanied to the admission interview by relatives, which is useful for an objective assessment of the study conditions and the final decision to study with us. The admission interview before the commission itself is not public, and within it the applicant presents the reasons for his interest in the study, his overview of the content of the study program, expectations associated with completing the study and knowledge of the study conditions. Commissions are composed of experts in the field of study and persons qualified to assess the applicant's fulfillment of the required qualification framework. In any case, the goal of the interview is to clarify the study offer and the applicant's expectations in a friendly interview atmosphere, or to answer the applicant's questions that are not answered in publicly available sources.
In the case of applicants from abroad, the interview is conducted in English, or a member of the commission is a person who speaks the applicant's home language. Part of such an interview is also a check of interest in language training at an organized school, since the study program is taught in the Slovak language
