Psychology
The single-subject full-time study of psychology of the 1st degree (bachelor) at the St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Work has been implemented since 2009.
The scope of the study represents the basic knowledge of the theory of psychology (general, developmental psychology, methodology, etc.). In accordance with the newer standards for psychology studies in the EU, the upper years include the basics of psychological disciplines such as counselling, educational and school psychology, occupational, clinical, applied social psychology, etc.
After the completion of the 3-year Bachelor's degree programme, the graduate has the option to pursue a Master's degree at another school or to pursue psychological activities under the supervision of an experienced psychologist with higher education (e.g. in the field of counselling, occupational, school, clinical psychology). The bachelor has the opportunity to work independently in other areas of practice (in the sphere of social services, in human resources departments, etc.)
The possibility of engaging in the social sphere at the school's detached workplaces with a social focus (in different parts of Slovakia, in the Czech Republic, in Russia, in Ukraine, in Sudan, Cambodia, Kenya, etc.) is an interesting feature for the students of our school.
