The professional profile of the graduate of the master's degree is formed in compatibility with the Christian understanding of man on the basis of the current scientific base of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of psychology. The professional orientation of the graduate is based on the understanding of psychology as a helping profession, aimed at solving the most diverse educational, personal-social and mental-health problems of contemporary man.
The graduate's professional training focuses on developing his/her ability to creatively apply psychological knowledge and practical skills, especially in educational, counseling, and clinical psychological disciplines. Additional knowledge and skills from such professionally compatible areas as social psychology, psychodiagnostics, psychological intervention and psychotherapy also ensure the creative mastery of the graduate's professional focus.
Prospects of graduates
A graduate of the Master's degree in psychology acquires the prerequisite to apply in the most diverse spheres of social practice, especially as an educational and school psychologist (in educational and especially school institutions), as a counselling psychologist (in professional, partnership, marriage, forensic-psychological and pastoral counselling), as a clinical psychologist (in the field of solving problems of health, illness, psychopathology, etc.).

The basic condition for admission is the completion of a single-subject Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology. In this programme, an entrance examination is held in the form of a written test, which verifies the basic knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's studies in the Psychology study programme. In the event of non-attendance at the appointed time, the written test cannot be taken on an alternative date.

The Faculty of Arts of the University of Trnava in Trnava (hereinafter referred to as TU) plans to admit approximately 100 students to the Master's programme in the academic year 2025/2026, depending on the amount of the allocated budget and the fulfilment of the basic and other admission requirements.
The appropriate type of application form must be used for admission.
The basic condition for admission to the Master's degree (Mgr. degree) is the completion of the Bachelor's degree.
The Faculty of Philosophy of TU reserves the right to make changes and updates in the interest of improving the quality of the admission procedure, in accordance with Section 57 (5) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education as amended by later regulations.
Applicants should submit a completed application form to the address of the Faculty's seat: Faculty of Arts, University of Trnava, Hornopotočná 23, 918 43 Trnava. Candidates who have completed lower degree studies before the school. 2024/2025, they will send their application form, diploma and diploma from B.Sc. diploma. Candidates graduating from lower secondary school in 2025 will send their application form together with a current certificate of attendance. Those applicants who are taking the entrance examination will present the officially certified documents (diploma and certificate of the Bachelor's degree) in person at the presentation on the day of the entrance examination.

The admission procedure begins for a candidate on the day of receipt of his/her written application. For this reason, an applicant who submits his/her application electronically is obliged to deliver it in written form duly documented (proof of payment of the admission fee, certified Bachelor's degree,...).
Applicants who will be admitted on the basis of the selection procedure will send officially certified copies of their certificates (for M.Sc. studies of the state bachelor's exams) within two days after successful completion of the state exam.
The faculty does not require confirmation of the applicant's health status. If there is a need to take disability into account in the entrance examination process, the applicant shall attach a certificate of disability and the recommended form of examination to the application form.
Applicants may also submit multiple applications to the College. For each study programme it is necessary to submit a new application and pay the fee of 40,- € again.
Applicants who have completed a lower degree abroad shall submit nostrified documents of education in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 422/2015 Coll. A receipt for the payment of the admission fee (in the amount of 40.- €,) must be pasted on the 3rd page of the application form. In case of non-attendance at the entrance examination, the fee is not refundable. The Admissions Committee decides on the points required for admission.
Conditions for international students
Applicants who have completed a lower level of studies abroad shall submit proof of equivalence of studies at secondary schools abroad pursuant to Act No.422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of documents on education and on the recognition of professional qualifications and on the amendment and supplementation of certain acts.
