Theoretical knowledge

In the third level of study, the focus is on a thorough orientation to past and current trends, concepts and theories about social and psychological phenomena, along with their application to the chosen area of research. PhD studies are also oriented towards an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the problem under investigation and require familiarity with disciplines other than the specific focus of the dissertation.

Practical and complementary skills

- preparation, coordination and management of research projects;
- creative contribution to the development of the theoretical foundations of the discipline;
- expert and analytical activity;
- publication activity in peer-reviewed and refereed domestic and international journals;
- teaching and consultancy;
- representation of the academic community at domestic and international professional forums;
- ability to analyse and interpret current social-psychological and occupational-psychological problems.

Graduate placement

The graduate of the study programme is a mature researcher, possessing knowledge of the operation in the social system of work in a broader context, taking into account the psychological, economic, organizational aspects of national and transnational communities and institutions. Graduates can specialise in two areas: social psychology and occupational psychology. In these areas, they will have an in-depth knowledge of current development trends, be familiar with the latest results in the respective field and be able to apply these results. They will be employed in scientific research, in pedagogical work, in national and supranational institutions, international structures.
