Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission to the Bachelor studies at the Faculty of Informatics of the PEVŠ, in both full-time and part-time form of study, is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education.

Students are admitted without entrance examinations. The Faculty of Informatics will also allow all prospective students to get acquainted with the studies at the faculty by a personal visit.

Admission to study is decided by the Dean on the basis of the recommendation of the Admissions Committee in accordance with the conditions set for admission. The result of the admission procedure will be communicated to the applicant in writing.

Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants and applicants who have completed their secondary education or part of it abroad are obliged under Act No.596/2003 Coll. on state administration in education and school self-government and on amendment and supplementation of certain regulations, as amended, to apply to the competent regional education authority for recognition (nostrification) of the document of education of a graduate of secondary school abroad, or for the issuance of a certificate of equivalence of the document of education (in the case of states with which the Slovak Republic has concluded an agreement on mutual recognition of documents of education).

General information on the admission exam

The basic condition for admission to study at the Faculty of Informatics of PEVŠ, in both full-time and part-time study, is the acquisition of a complete secondary or complete secondary vocational education and successful completion of the admission interview.

The applicant shall submit an electronic application for the Bachelor's degree - first cycle within the set deadline.

E-application form is only recorded electronically, it is not printed! The e-application will only be considered complete if it has all sections correctly filled in: Personal Details, Applicant Address, Application Details. The admission fee must also be paid.

The candidate will be informed about the status of his/her e-application through email communication:

1. e-mail message - that the e-application has been registered by the information system,

2. e-mail message - confirming receipt of payment - after payment of the admission fee,

3. e-mail message - accepting the complete e-application by the faculty (this message must be received by the applicant no later than 14 days after the last date for submission of applications).
