The study programme Water Structures and Water Management prepares civil engineers in the field of design and operation of water structures, water management in the countryside, in water management systems, in the field of supplying the population with drinking water and building sewerage systems in towns and villages. Emphasis is placed on a theoretical approach to problem solving and the ability to independently handle difficult tasks in water management.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate will find employment as a member of a creative team, its leader or as an independent responsible worker in project offices, in the business and corporate sphere dealing with the use of water resources, water management and water protection in the country, industry, agriculture and urban space, hydropower, water engineering, water transport, water supply and treatment of polluted water, waste management, in public administration in the field of water management and the environment, in water research organisations and in the third sector.

- A foreign national who has not completed a Bachelor's degree in Slovak and is interested in studying a study programme in Slovak or in a combination of Slovak and English, must submit a document confirming knowledge of the Slovak language at least at B1 level by the deadline 20 June 2025 (or 15 August 2025 in the 2nd round of the entrance examinations). Without this document the applicant will not be admitted to the study.
