SPATIAL PLANNING
The study programme focuses on management of spatial planning activities, inventory and analytical works, on executive management within the field of spatial development. The knowledge of a BSc graduate in natural, technical, economic and social sciences, including a complex of tools, theories and methods of landscape, social, economic, land-use and infrastructural planning creates a basis for working on preparing land-use and landscape planning documentation, development strategies and in land-use management decision processes. Knowledge of geography, ecology, ICTs and skills in development of urban and settlement structures make the graduate competent for coordination of spatial planning activities, identification and analysis of the developmental potentials of individual settlements, working on operating developmental plans, concepts and projects, for the planning and managing of these activities as well as for continuing in this study towards the MSc degree.

In particular parts of the entrance examination the applicant can gain following points:
- creativity test and test of spatial perception max.50 points
- reasoning test max.40 points

which means total of 90 points, successful passing of the entrance examination is conditioned by gaining minimum 45 points.
To the overall point evaluation of an applicant the results from the secondary school are taken into consideration by the maximum weight 10% out of the total number, i.e. 10 points. The results from the secondary school (study averages from the annual school reports) are taken into consideration as follows: 1.00 is 10 points and due to each 0.1 of the average, it is lowered by 2 points.

- Application forms are sent to the address: Slovenská technická univerzita, Ústav manažmentu, študijné oddelenie, Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava until 31 March2016. The admission procedure is obligatory for all registered applicants for BSP Spatial Planning who will submit required documents according to the subparagraph 2. Applicants who will fill in the application form „Application form for university study", which they will print here or they buy it in the shop ŠEVT. The electronic form of the application form is recommended – e-application form. Printing and subsequent sending of the printed electronic application form to the address stated in the subparagraph 1 together with required enclosures in subparagraph 2) are inevitable conditions for the successful electronic submission of the e-application form for the study in the SUT.
Obligatory enclosures are:

- Confirmation of the fee payment for admission procedure
- Applicants who will sit for the leaving examination in 2013 fill into the application form marks and averages from all annual school reports for 1st up to 4th year and school leaving certificate which are confirmed by the seal and signature of the secondary school representative. The certified copy of the school leaving certificate is necessary to be sent immediately after passing the school leaving examination, until 6 June 2016 at the latest.
- Applicants who passed the school leaving examination earlier than in 2016 shall enclose certified copies of secondary school annual reports and school leaving certificate.
- Applicants who apply for the study again after exclusion from the previous study at the SUT or after abandoning the study submit a new application form together with certified copy of the school leaving certificate and secondary school annual reports.
- Applicants who passed the school leaving examination abroad in the wording of the Act No. 596/2003 Coll on the State Administration in Education and School Self-Governing Bodies as amended and ME SR regulation No 207/1993 Coll. by which there are determined circumstances concerning equivalency of documents about education issued by foreign basic and secondary schools shall enclose to the application form confirmation from the county school office on the equivalency or resolution on recognition of secondary school passed abroad.
- Documents enclosed to the application form are not returned to applicants.
- In the case the application form will not include all data or all required documents and the applicants will not fulfil their duty in the term stated by the IM SUT, the applicant will not be allowed to take part in the entrance examination. The applicant will be immediately informed on this decision in writing.

applicant with special needs must submit an application for the evaluation of his specific needs and set in the extent of support services according to admissions within the meaning of the rector regulation number 5/2013-SR http://www.stuba.sk/sk/studentov/studenti-a-uchadzaci -with-specific-potrebami.html?page_id = 6717 in order to create an appropriate conditions for passing the university entrance exam.Applicants with specific needs will have special method of entrance exam based on their specific needs.
Form of entrance exam
The IM STU will send to applicants minimum 2 weeks before the beginning of the entrance exam for the bachelor study an individual invitation by registered letter.
The entrance examination is performed as a written test and it is anonymous. The aim of the entrance examination is to check, in the form of a test, abilities and skills of an applicant. The exam consists of tests from spacial imagination and special tests oriented to creativity, spacial perception, reasoning and overview of an applicant in natural and social sciences in the extent of secondary school knowledge.
The aim of the entrance examination is to test the applicant's suitability for the study programme in spacial planning. As it is an interdisciplinary branch integrating technical, natural, economic and social studies the entrance examination consists of tasks testing namely applicant's ability to thing creatively (creativity test) and ability to think synthetically and logically integrate information and knowledge (test of reasoning). These tasks are built on elementary knowledge from a secondary school but they are not focused on its testing but on the testing of the ability to utilize it. As it is concerning spatial planning, the part of the entrance examination is the testing of the applicant's ability to work actively in the abstract 3 dimensional space (test of spatial perception).
