The study programme Psychology (1st degree) provides graduates with knowledge, skills and competences in various psychological disciplines, as well as the foundations of other non-psychological disciplines related to psychology (selected areas of social, human and behavioural sciences). It also enables the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills in applied psychological disciplines and training in basic specialisations . The student also acquires the basics of the use of psychological methods in different areas of psychological practice and preparation for psychological research. The study programme is completed by a state examination, which includes the defence of the final thesis.

Conditions for admission to the Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Psychology of the PEVŠ
The basic condition of admission to the Bachelor's study programme "Psychology", which is included in the study field of Psychology, is a proven complete secondary or complete secondary vocational education.
A candidate for the Bachelor's degree shall apply exclusively by electronic means within the set deadline.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants and applicants who have completed their secondary school studies or part of them abroad are obliged to apply to the relevant regional education authority for the nostrification of the document of education of a secondary school graduate abroad or for the issuance of a certificate of equivalence of the document of education. Applicants for studies from abroad may be admitted to studies on condition that they pass an entrance examination in the Slovak language. This condition does not apply to citizens of the Czech Republic and foreigners who have passed the matriculation examination in the Slovak language in the Slovak Republic.
