Environmental Protection and Ecotechnologies of Raw Materials
The acquired knowledge from natural science and technical disciplines will enable students to be profiled for the quantification, analysis and search for solutions to possible negative environmental problems in the technological processing of raw materials. Knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts can be applied in the management of environmental processes by taking into account all components of the environment. Part of the professional profiling of graduates is the ability to solve the environmental impacts of mining and treatment of raw materials, environmental monitoring. Considerable attention is paid to the legislative area, as this knowledge is absolutely necessary when designing and developing plans for extraction, treatment and processing of raw materials. The issue of environmental protection and sustainable development is related to the above. The graduate will acquire knowledge of testing procedures, certifications and used quality systems in the area of treatment and processing of raw materials.
Prospects of graduates
A graduate of the bachelor's study program Environmental protection and raw material ecotechnology has general knowledge in the field of technical and natural science disciplines, in the application of environmental, economic, legislative and social knowledge. Understands the basic principles of technologies for treatment and processing of primary and secondary raw materials. He knows how to correctly interpret these technologies (developed and applied in the treatment of primary raw materials) and can apply them as environmental technologies, e.g. in the treatment and purification of water and air and in processing, or recycling of waste - secondary raw materials, which is constantly increasing. Graduates of the study program are able to perform professions in organizations that deal with monitoring and evaluating the state of the environment, waste management, environmental impact assessment. Possible employment is in the state and private sphere - in state administration, local self-government, related to the environment, in industrial enterprises whose activity is related to the processing of raw materials, in various environmental organizations. Graduates also find employment in areas related to the recycling of industrial and municipal components waste and with the separation of finely dispersed particles captured by eco-technologies for air protection and water protection.
