Misijná a charitatívna práca
The aim of the study is to prepare workers for missionary and charitable work who will be able to work in church, state and non-governmental institutions in Slovakia and abroad, in post-socialist countries, in the poorest areas of the world, as well as in the rich Western world. During their studies, students will gain knowledge in missiology, social and charity work, psychology, sociology, law, pedagogy, religious studies, health sciences and tropical medicine, humanitarian and development aid, crisis intervention, missionary-social work in Roma communities, etc.
Prospects of graduates
The main focus of application of graduates of this field is in the implementation of social, missionary and charitable work directly in the field, at the level of state and local government in children's homes, social service homes, prisons, re-education homes, asylum and crisis centres, health care institutions - hospitals, sanatoriums, LDCH, hospices, as well as in non-state entities, which are various civil associations, foundations, international organisations (UNICEF, UNHCR, IOM, IRC, etc.
Absolvent will be applied especially in the field of field missionary and charity work. He/she will be able to provide assistance to clients in material need, after serving a prison sentence, members of ethnic minorities, migrants, clients on loss of employment and the elderly; to promote and protect the rights of the needy in missions in the third world; to carry out activities related to the planning, provision and control of the forms of assistance provided, as a manager of social services in management and control institutions and to participate in the development of social policy and social legislation.

1. Secondary education completed by the matriculation examination.
2. Completed application form for university studies (form available at ŠEVT or downloadable from https://www.minedu.sk/prihlaska-na-studium-vypis-z-danoveho-priznania-a-ine-formulare/) includes:
- certified copy of the matriculation certificate
Applicants who are graduating in the current school year shall provide a certified copy of the matriculation certificate and a copy (uncertified) of the end-of-year certificate from the 4th year additionally (§ 58 (1) of Act No. 455/2012 Coll., Art. amending Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education as amended) before the enrolment deadline in order to send the admission decision in time. Without submitting a certified copy of the matriculation certificate, the applicant will not be enrolled in studies (Section 59(3) of Act No. 455/2012 Coll. amending Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education as amended). - copies (uncertified) of the end-of-year report cards for the entire secondary school studies + statement of grades with the calculated average in the application form
- student applicants who have studied at a foreign secondary school - Decision on recognition of equivalence of the educational document (photocopy of the decision must be officially certified) and at the same time provide an uncertified copy of the foreign educational document,
- Curriculum Vitae (signed)
- certificate of medical fitness to practise - from a doctor (for medical disciplines only),
- in the application form on page 3, the applicant for the external form of study shall provide details of employment,
- proof of payment by deposit into an account
General information about the admission procedure:
- An applicant may apply for more than one programme of study (each application is subject to an admission fee), and only one programme of study may be indicated on any one application form.
- The College reserves the right not to open the first year of study of a study programme for which a sufficient number of applicants have not applied.
- An applicant who has paid the admissions fee and has not been admitted by decision will not be refunded the fee.
- An applicant who is not admitted on the basis of an incomplete application will also not be refunded the fee.
- The registered application form with documents remains in the records and archives of the HEI - it is not returned.
