Measurement and Testing
Graduates master the theoretical foundations of the broad spectrum of the field and at the same time have a deep knowledge of the narrower specialization in the field. He has knowledge of the theory of measurement, modern measurement and information technology, basic theoretical and practical knowledge of metrology, information and communication technologies for the provision of metrological tasks, methods of modelling complex measurement systems, methods of design of technical and software means of measurement, design of systems for the management of measurement processes. Acquire the ability to develop and design own solutions to problems, creatively apply acquired knowledge, make effective decisions in the selection and use of methods, techniques and means, solve problems in new, unknown, multidisciplinary contexts, work on projects involving problem identification, analysis, design and implementation of systems, apply quality standards, work effectively individually and in a team, use a systems approach in project management.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates of all study programmes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava are mainly applied in enterprises of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and consumer industry, consulting and technical-managerial services, transport, insurance, education, scientific-research, development and design organizations, in the municipal sphere and in trade. They are qualified for the operation of various technical equipment, for construction, design, testing, metrology, software engineering, technical preparation of production, management of production departments, technical control, technical-expert and investor activities, implementation of investment programmes, as well as for work in the scientific research field.
