Meracia technika

Graduates of the doctoral study programme Measurement Technology will gain theoretical and methodological knowledge and practical experience in key areas of measurement technology at the level of the current state of research in the world. He/she is proficient in scientific methods of research and development of measuring instruments, is able to design measuring instruments based on the state of scientific knowledge, to propose original measurement principles and to develop original technical and software means of measuring instruments for the implementation of this procedure. He is able to scientifically optimise the technical design of measuring instruments in their application in various branches of production for the needs of its automation and monitoring of parameters from the point of view of quality management and product certification. They will master the principles of independent and team scientific work, scientific research, scientific problem formulation, solving complex scientific problems and presentation of scientific results. They will be able to creatively apply the acquired knowledge in practice and find professional employment in various sectors of science, research, industry and services in both the public and private sectors.



Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the doctoral programme Measuring Technology can apply in particular - in research in an EU academic or research organisation, wherever in-depth knowledge of metrology, measurement systems, measurement methods, electromagnetic compatibility or experiment management is required; - in academic or research organisations at the management level of smaller or larger scientific teams or groups; - in industrial practice in the development of sensors, methods, techniques and complex solutions, where it can provide new and original solutions; - in the electronics industry, measurement technology, sensor technology, electronics and also in interdisciplinary professions, wherever there is a need to solve large-scale problems concerning the development not only of new elements, devices and systems, but above all of new principles and methods; - in the research and development departments of enterprises in the position of manager, scientific project manager, designer of electrical engineering elements, equipment and systems and wherever physical knowledge of the individual technical elements of a project and the ability to process them originally are required.
