External Master's studies - implemented by a combined method (a combination of full-time and distance methods - with lectures/consultations based on personal contact, using a computer network and examinations, which corresponds to the number of hours of direct teaching activity) and ends with the defence of the final thesis and the state final examination and the award of the degree of Master (Mgr.). After fulfilling the criteria set by the faculty, it is possible to continue doctoral studies.

Who is suitable for external Master's studies at FM UK?

as a continuing study after the Bachelor's degree (both for students of the Faculty of Management and for graduates of other faculties and universities of identical and related fields of study);

as a supplementary economic and management study for graduates of master's or engineering studies of other faculties; the Faculty of Management, as a second university, can offer supplementary management education, suitable for graduates of other faculties and universities in the form of supplementary economic and management studies for graduates of master's or engineering degrees coming from not only other domestic but also foreign faculties and universities.

Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the Master's degree study programme in management will acquire in-depth knowledge of the basic areas of management and informatics, understand and master the superstructural and functional disciplines of management, gain knowledge of the supporting disciplines of management, master more complex applications of enterprise information systems, know how to use communication techniques designed for large groups of people.

This field of study enables graduates to work in the following areas: marketing management, financial management, project management, information systems management and others.

Master's graduates can manage large groups of people and adapt quickly to changes in the market environment. They are able to identify, analyse and evaluate problems and processes in the context of the whole organisation and the environment in which they operate. They are able to lead a team, work as part of a team, and design and implement practical, organisation-wide solutions.

Conditions of admission

The basic condition for the admission of an applicant to the study programme of the second degree of the university, which results from the provision of Section 56 (3) of the Higher Education Act as amended, is the completion of the first degree study programme (completed bachelor's degree) or the second degree university education (comprehensive master's or engineering studies).

Additional information

Applicants for studies at the Faculty of Management Comenius University Bratislava will use the electronic application form via the UK Electronic Application Portal (https://e-prihlaska.uniba.sk/) or the AIS2 system, from which they will also receive payment instructions. The electronic application form does not need to be printed.

Only applications that are complete (including all necessary attachments and payment of the admissions fee) are accepted by the Office of Studies.

Conditions for international students

The condition for the admission of foreigners (including compatriots) who have completed their previous studies abroad is the demonstration of the necessary eligibility in the same way as in the case of citizens of the Slovak Republic, which follows from the provisions of Section 56(3) of the Higher Education Act. The applicant shall submit a document on recognition of education - Decision on recognition of the document on education in accordance with Act No 422/2015 Coll. on recognition of documents on education and on recognition of professional qualifications and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Proof of completion of a bachelor's degree (or a comprehensive master's or engineering degree) - must be documented by an officially certified diploma of a bachelor's degree (or master's or engineering degree) and a supplement to the diploma or a transcript of all examinations taken at the university, certified by the study department of the relevant faculty or university. In the case of studies abroad, documented by proof of recognition of education.
