JOINT STUDY PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT (DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAM)
The joint study program in Management is offered by two universities: the Faculty of Management, Comenius University Bratislava, and IAE Bordeaux (Institute of Business Administration), University of Bordeaux. The program is delivered in English.
It is a combination of the master’s program Management et Commerce International, parcours Management et Commerce International and the master’s study program Management within the field of Economics and Management. The program provides an exceptional opportunity to obtain internationally recognized education in management and trade.
Students in the program earn diplomas from both universities, equipping graduates with advanced knowledge in management and trade within a global context and skills that enable them to work in international businesses.
The program is organized in accordance with the study plans of both universities, which complement each other. Instruction is conducted in English. The program also includes academic mobility between the two universities.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate of the study programme finds employment in middle and senior management positions in companies, organisations and institutions, as well as the prerequisites to continue at the third, doctoral level of study after graduation.
In terms of the type of organization, graduates find employment in public administration as well as in private administration.
In terms of the individual functional areas of management that are covered in the individual courses, graduates:
- can become a human resources specialist who implements in practice all functions of human resources management, ranging from work activity analysis to collective bargaining (i.e., e.g., compensation and benefits specialist, HR coordinator, staff leasing consultant),
- is able to perform financial management jobs such as portfolio manager, risk analyst, mutual fund portfolio manager, banking compliance officer, economic analyst,
- graduates can go on to careers in which information systems and computer networks are the focus, e.g. information technology construction specialist, information technology quality management manager, database specialist, information system administrator,
- who will focus their curriculum more on the application of marketing management principles, may be employed as a marketing manager, marketing analysis and market research specialist, product, brand and market developer, key account care manager in B2B and B2C markets, marketing analyst.

The basic condition for the admission of an applicant to study a second degree programme of a university, which follows from the provisions of Section 56(3) of the Higher Education Act as amended, is the completion of a first degree programme (completed Bachelor's degree) or a second degree programme (comprehensive Master's or Engineering degree). An applicant who fails to prove fulfilment of the basic admission requirements at the time of the verification of the admission requirements may be admitted conditionally, provided that he or she is required to prove fulfilment of the basic admission requirements no later than the date set for enrolment. The right of an applicant who has been admitted conditionally shall be terminated if he or she fails to prove fulfilment of the basic conditions for admission no later than the date fixed for enrolment.
Additional information
Applicants for studies at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University Bratislava will use the electronic application form via the UK Electronic Application Portal (https://e-prihlaska.uniba.sk/) or the AIS2 system, from which they will also receive payment instructions. It is not necessary to print the electronic application form.
A curriculum vitae in English and a motivation letter in English are also compulsory.
Only applications that are complete (including all required attachments and payment of the admission fee) will be accepted by the Study Department. If an incomplete application is submitted, the Study Department will ask the applicant by e-mail to complete his/her application. If the applicant fails to do so, his/her application will be considered invalid.
Conditions for international students
A condition for the admission of foreigners (including compatriots) who have completed their previous studies abroad is the demonstration of the necessary competence in the same way as in the case of Slovak citizens, which follows from the provisions of Section 56(3) of the Higher Education Act. The applicant shall submit a document of recognition of education - Decision on recognition of a document of education in accordance with Act No 422/2015 Coll. on recognition of documents of education and on recognition of professional qualifications and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Without the obligation to take an entrance examination, those applicants for study in study programmes accredited and offered by the faculty who:
a) provide evidence of B2 level certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, and CPE), or
b) provide evidence of excellent study results for the entire bachelor's study, respectively. They have successfully completed a first or second degree in English in an EU country and have written a thesis in English.
Bachelor's degree graduates at FM UK will be admitted without an entrance exam.
Candidates for the Bachelor's degree at FM UK will be admitted without an entrance exam.

The entrance examination for the study programme taught in English (Management - BMN) is oral and consists of an interview in English on the information from the documents provided and a motivation letter. It will be conducted by videoconference call before the Admission Committee (which is considered as the subject of the admission examination), on the dates announced after the closing date for applications for the English-language management programme.
The maximum possible total of points that can be obtained in the entrance examination is 100, where the score is the average of the scores of the members of the committee, in the structure of the English language and motivational interview in English.
Without the obligation to take an entrance examination, according to the order specified in point 14), those applicants for study in study programmes accredited and offered by the faculty who:
a) provide evidence of B2 level certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, and CPE), or
b) they provide evidence of outstanding academic performance throughout their undergraduate studies or a comprehensive master's or engineering degree (GPA of 3.5 or above), or
c) have successfully completed a first or second degree in English in an EU country and have written a final thesis in English.
Graduates of the Bachelor's degree at FM CU will be admitted without an entrance exam.
