Prospects of graduates

Graduates in the study programme Liberal Arts in specialisation Politology receive knowledge and skills that enable them to continue the Master degree studies within the specialisation (politology) or in related specialisations (sociology, philosophy, social anthropology, etc.) Graduates not willing to continue the university studies shall are qualified for jobs in state and local administrations, in media, NGO's and civic associations.

Graduates receive comprehensive education in social sciences with the emphasis on politology, philosophy and anthropology. The study programme structure focuses on formation and stimulation of the capacities of contemplating, arguing and contextual thinking. Experience (mainly in the USA) has proven that Liberal Arts studies are an excellent background for both, further studies and for professional life.

Conditions of admission

Completion of higher secondary education is the principal prerequisite for enrolment in Bachelor degree studies of Liberal Arts and specialisation in politology at BISLA (art. 56, paragraph 1 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll.). Applicants are required to prove their meeting the said condition by submitting verified photocopies of their school-leaving report by 19.06.2009. Admission procedure shall be stopped upon non submitting of an undersigned application, submitting an incomplete application (missing data, missing signature etc.) and concerned applicant shall not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
