Letecké a kozmické inžinierstvo
The graduate of the engineering study programme Aerospace Engineering in the field of study Transport has a thorough knowledge of modern technical means of aerospace engineering, knows the principles of their operation, conditions of their operation and maintenance for the purpose of safe use of aerospace technology in operational practice. He has knowledge of aerospace engine, airframe and avionic systems in the context of understanding the purpose of application of flying vehicles. He/she is also able to assess the functionality of technical and computer supported equipment in the given conditions of aeronautical facilities or other production facilities, repair facilities and specialist laboratories, and at the same time is able to communicate competently with specialist flight personnel. He/she is able to participate in the investigation of the causes of accidents and disasters and to propose measures to prevent similar accidents. On the basis of the acquired knowledge of information systems, he/she is able to use them competently at local and transnational level or to participate in their development for the needs of a specific aeronautical or space operator, production-technical or repair facility. After completing the engineering studies, the graduate also possesses adequate management skills oriented towards management in the field of technical support of aerospace services, production of devices and quality of information technology use. They also have the ability to carry out conceptual and coordinating activities in international professional confrontation. The graduate is able to creatively approach the solution of problems of interdisciplinary nature on the basis of system engineering procedures.He/she is able to independently analyse and design theoretical and practical maintenance procedures in the application of technical and computer-aided means for specified tasks on aeronautical technology, aeronautical equipment, in production processes and in other aerospace equipment. On the basis of the acquired knowledge of a cross-cutting interdisciplinary nature, they can work independently in the development and implementation of new hardware and software products for application in aerospace practice, as well as in the creation of new information systems in this area.
