Letecká a kozmická technika (Aerospace Technology)

In the study programme "Aerospace Engineering" the student has an extended knowledge not only about the principles of operation of aircraft systems, but also about the principles of aircraft design and space engineering technology. This study programme is intended to enable the preparation of new specialists in demand for the labour market and thus contribute to the declared effort of the Slovak Republic to keep pace with technological developments in Europe in the future. At the same time, the education area of this study programme supports the efforts of the Slovak Republic to fully integrate into the European Space Agency (ESA).

The graduate of the bachelor's study programme Aerospace Engineering in the field of study Aerospace Engineering has knowledge of modern aerospace technical means, knows the principles and functions of their operation as well as the conditions of their operation. It has knowledge of theoretical disciplines such as aerodynamics, applied mathematics, etc. and selected electronic, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical engineering disciplines for understanding the operation of technical means. He/she is able to assess the functionality of technical, technological and computer aided equipment in the given conditions of aerospace facilities, manufacturing and technical operations, laboratories and at the same time is able to interact competently with flight personnel as well as with technical personnel in the field of production, maintenance, structures, technology, etc. It will be applied in particular in the operation of aerospace technology, in the operation and design of diagnostic systems, in the manufacture of technical aids for the field of aviation operations, maintenance and implementation of prescribed work. On the basis of the acquired knowledge of information systems, he/she is competent to use them competently.

Conditions of admission

General conditions of admission

In accordance with §56, §57 and §58 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education, the basic condition for admission to the study programme of the first degree is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education. The application for studies can be submitted electronically via the MAIS TUKE information system (e-application), in paper form by post, or in person at the Study Office of the Faculty of Arts.

A candidate for bachelor studies at TUKE may apply for only one study programme on one application form. In case of non-acceptance to the selected study programme, the applicant may be offered another study programme.
