European Studies and Politics

Graduates of the third cycle of the European Studies and Policies programme will be leading experts in research on European policy processes, with an emphasis on the development of their specialism as a scientific discipline. The fundamental aim of the PhD is to form a new generation of professionally prepared and creative scholars in the field of multidisciplinary reflection on European integration in the context of international developments. The study includes the individual contribution of the PhD student to the elaboration of the theoretical foundations of the new European politics, the creative definition of the problems of the European system of governance of common affairs, the specific processes of policy-making and implementation of the European institutions, as well as the analysis of the programmes and their impact in practice. The PhD graduate contributes to the development of the theoretical foundations of the discipline of political science.
