Elektronika a fotonika

The studies are carried out according to an individual study plan proposed by the doctoral student's supervisor and approved by a disciplinary committee established according to the internal regulations of the faculty under the supervision of the supervisor. The study programme consists of a study part and a scientific part. In the study programme Electronics and Photonics at the doctoral level, doctoral students acquire detailed and in-depth theoretical knowledge, insights and practical experience in the key and worldwide research areas of electronics and photonics, such as nanoelectronics, smart sensors, microsystems, electronic systems on a chip, electronic systems for signal processing, wireless and portable electronic devices, as well as their use in various applications. The intensive involvement of students in research tasks within national and international scientific projects allows PhD students to gain valuable experience in teamwork, design and evaluation of experiments, as well as presentation and communication of the obtained results.

Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the Electronics and Photonics study programme are expected to work in project activities, solving and managing research and innovation projects in the areas of analysis, design, development, testing and operation of various electronic systems and devices based on advanced micro- and nanoelectronic technologies for small and large electronic and IT companies, as well as in the field of research and development in various areas of science and social life.
