Graduate Profile

The study programme of engineering studies is aimed at deepening the theoretical, methodological and practical knowledge that builds on undergraduate studies. The prerequisites are created for the education of highly qualified managers in the areas of business practice, in DSP manufacturing enterprises, commercial firms, public organizations and state institutions.





Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the study programme "Economics and Management in Wood Processing Companies" will be able to apply as managerial employees operating at all levels of management of business entities primarily in the wood processing industry in Slovakia, but secondarily also in other sectors of the national economy, or as independent entrepreneurs. They will be able to independently carry out analyses, solve economic and managerial problems, manage projects, organise and manage work in work teams and provide corporate and marketing planning. Given their communication skills in two world languages, they will also find employment in institutions cooperating with EU entities and will be able to provide foreign trade and international business activities.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Admission of applicants to the engineering study programme Economics and Management in Wood Processing Companies will take place in the form of a selection admission procedure without the participation of applicants. The level of the completed bachelor study will be assessed on the basis of the evaluation of the weighted study average of the entire bachelor study and the overall result of the state examination.

General information on the admission exam

Admission of applicants to the engineering study programme Economics and Management in  Wood Processing Companies will take place in the form of a selection admission procedure without the participation of applicants. The level of the completed bachelor study will be assessed on the basis of the evaluation of the weighted study average of the entire bachelor study and the overall result of the state examination.

  • officially certified copy of the first degree diploma, state examination certificate and diploma supplement (statement of the results of the bachelor's degree examinations with the weighted study average for the bachelor's degree) - send, respectively. deliver to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Woodworking immediately after obtaining them - mandatory attachment,

  • electronic application formfor studies should be filled in, printed directly from the system, signed and sent to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Woodworking within the deadline for submission of applications for studies.

  • for each study programme it is necessary to submit an application form separately,

  • condition for admission in the study field Economics and Business Management is the completion of the first degree study programme in the field of Economics and Management, the programme Management of Wood and Furniture Production in the study field of Woodworking.

  • information about registered applications of applicants will be published on the website of the Technical University, in the university system UIS in the section results of entrance examinations after entering the applicant's birth number: http://is.tuzvo.sk/prijimacky/verejne_vysledky.pl,
  • the number of admitted students is planned for each study programme separately,

  • the order of students admitted to the study programmes will be determined on the basis of the results achieved and the nature of the first I degree studies completed, and for the Furniture Design study programme also on the basis of the portfolio evaluation,

  • the results of the entrance examination and admission selection procedures will be published on the website after their evaluation at http://is.tuzvo.sk/prijimacky/verejne_vysledky.pl or on the faculty's website https://df.tuzvo.sk/sk/vysledky-prijimacieho-konania.
