Transport Machines and Equipment

The content and forms of education aim to teach the graduate the principles of scientific work, to formulate problems in the field of transport and handling and also the ways of their solution. This objective is achieved by guiding students to systematic work with the literature, participation in experimental work, analysis of the experimental results obtained, drawing conclusions and finding ways to implement the acquired knowledge in the further development of science and practice. The aim of this study programme is, along with increasing the efficiency of work in transport and material handling, to respect the specificities of the interaction of technical means with biological materials and the overall environmental impact.

Prospects of graduates

The graduate will acquire broader and deeper theoretical knowledge, abilities and skills for mastering scientific methods of research and development applicable in the field of transport machinery and equipment and in related technical fields. The graduate of doctoral studies is able to work with scientific literature, can compile the methodology of research programs, is able to analyze and synthesize the obtained results and formulate conclusions of research work. The graduate is able to create scientific publications, prepare projects of domestic and foreign grant tasks, present the achieved results at domestic and foreign conferences, lead a research team.

Conditions of admission

- completeness of the application form together with the annexes provided,

- personal attendance of the applicant at the entrance examination on the given date,

- successful completion of the admission procedure (candidates with the highest number of points obtained will be admitted),

- in specific cases (e.g. completion of the study programme according to previous regulations, foreign students, etc.), a statement from the chairman of the relevant departmental committee is also required.

Mandatory attachments to the application form:

- curriculum vitae,

- certified copy of the diploma of engineering studies,

- certified copy of the state examination certificate for engineering studies,

- a summary of courses taken and averages achieved for the entire period of study (B.Sc. and Eng.),

- overview of publication activity,

- proof of fee payment.
