Transport Technique and Technology
The graduates are expected to be employed in research and development organisations with a transport and economic focus, in state administration bodies, as well as teachers at universities. Graduates of the study programme Transport Engineering and Technology of the study field Transport are proficient in scientific methods of research and experimental work in the field of transport systems, they are able to design models of transport systems and transport processes and, with the help of optimisation and simulation methods, to design optimal transport systems and manage them in order to ensure the required quality of services and minimise operational costs and negative impacts of transport on the environment. The graduate is proficient in the scientific methods of analysing transport requirements and designing efficient service systems to serve these requirements. He/she has the necessary knowledge in the field of management and telematics, which enables him/her to design modern solutions based on intelligent transport systems, integrated and multimodal transport systems, etc.

All applicants will go through a selection procedure.
- The basic condition for admission to doctoral studies is the acquisition of a second degree (Act on Higher Education No. 131/2002 Coll.) in the same or in a related field of study (a list of related fields of study is available at https://www.portalvs.sk/sk/studijne-odbory)
- An application must be submitted by the deadline set by the academic calendar.
- Another condition for admission is passing the entrance examination.
The faculty does not require a medical certificate of medical fitness.

The study programme can also be studied in English.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants for studies are admitted on the basis of relevant interstate agreements or if they study in a language other than the state language, they pay tuition fees according to the conditions set out in Section 92(8) of the Higher Education Act. Tuition fees are set by a UNIZA directive and published for the relevant academic year on the University's website. Applicants who do not have an active knowledge of Slovak or Czech are required to have successfully completed language training (with the possibility of doing so at UNIZA). Applicants from the Czech Republic may use the form valid in the Czech Republic to apply for studies.
