Conditions of admission

- Completion of upper secondary education or upper secondary vocational education,

- completed and signed application form with the required attachments, including payment of the admission fee,

- medical certificate attesting that the applicant meets the prescribed medical criteria for the exercise of the health profession,

- successful completion of the entrance examination,

During the study period, it is stipulated that clinical practice at accredited and designated SMU workplaces must be completed in the range of 268 - 348 hours per each semester.



Additional information

The Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava reserves the right not to open bachelor and master study programmes in case of a lower number of applicants than the planned number.

It also reserves the right not to open any of these study programmes for other serious reasons.



General information on the admission exam

- you must register your application electronically through the MAIS academic information system at https://mais.szu.sk/eprihlaska (Mozilla Firefox browser) and subsequently send the printed application form with the required attachments by post,

The application form must be accompanied by:

- matriculation certificate - photocopy certified by a notary or registry office,

- a brief curriculum vitae,

- a doctor's certificate of the applicant's medical fitness to practice the relevant profession - on the application form or to be attached to the application form,

- applicants who are graduating this academic year will submit their matriculation certificate (certified copy) on the day of the entrance exam,

- if the applicant wishes to apply for more than one study programme at the University, he/she must submit a separate application for each study programme separately and pay the application fee for each application separately.
